Everything you need to know about our access management features
Each blog can have one sub-owner at a time. This ensures clear responsibility and streamlined management. If you need to change sub-owners, you can easily remove the current one and add someone new.
Existing admin users (those with their own Buildfast subscription) cannot be added as sub-owners. This separation maintains clear account boundaries. However, existing sub-owners can be invited to manage additional blogs.
Sub-owners have comprehensive access to their assigned blog's features, including dashboard, settings, design customization, analytics, and newsletter settings. They cannot transfer blog ownership, add other sub-owners, or access other blogs in your account.
No! Sub-owners don't need their own Buildfast subscription. They can access and manage the blogs they're invited to without any additional cost.
You can instantly remove their access from the Agency Dashboard. Once removed, they'll no longer be able to access or manage the blog. You can then add a new sub-owner if needed.
Yes! A sub-owner can manage multiple blogs from different owners. Each invitation will appear in their dashboard, and they can accept to gain access while maintaining their existing blog access.
When you invite a new sub-owner, you'll receive a special signup link. Share this link with them, and they can create their sub-owner account. Upon signup, they'll automatically get access to the designated blog.
Blog ownership transfer must be done by the primary account owner. Sub-owners cannot initiate or perform ownership transfers.
Currently, you can only add or remove sub-owners. If you need to temporarily restrict access, you'll need to remove the sub-owner and add them back later.
